San Francisco is known to offer all kinds of entertainment activities, offering something special to each individual is be passing through the area. One of the most spectacular celebrations of all is the Pier 39’s anniversary celebration of the sea lions return. 

The sea lions return all began in 1990 when the barking sea lions started collecting in masses at Pier 39. The sea lions return is signified each year by the barking crowd of lions that gather during the winter months of the lions migration cycle. 

On January 19, 2012, Pier 39 will be celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the sea lions’ return. This unique San Francisco entertainment experience is one worth the marvel. At the sea lions’ return celebration the playful sea lions offer entertainment to all of the visitors. There will be staff from the Marine Mammal Center at the return of the sea lions celebration to inform visitors on events and activities.
